Homemade Playdough

3 c. flour
½ c. salt
4 T. oil
1 ¼ c. water

Mix flour, salt and oil in a bowl with a spoon. Add food coloring if using (about 10 drops) to water and mix ¼ c. at a time with the dry ingredients. Turn out onto counter and knead into dough. Store in a Ziploc, will keep longer refrigerated.

This recipe was used in an activity for Global Village Day to make dumplings. The green paper was balled up to resemble the gyoza filling. Kids really had fun, and many did a fine job folding them into dumplings!
