TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS
Instead of salt, I use Lawry's Seasoned Salt and Garlic Salt
I am one of those that hate crunchy onions BUT will eat sweet finely chopped onions well cooked.
I use a food chopper to chop and cook first, before adding the
hamburger. I add a little olive oil, let it cook about 5 minutes and then add the hamburger.
While the hamburger was browning I measured the ketchup in a Pyrex 1 cup measuring cup and added the rest of the ingredients to it and mixed. When
the hamburger was browned and drained, I added the contents of the measuring cup using a spatula to get it all into the pan.
If you like real saucy Sloppy Joes you can double the sauce ingredients.
I sometimes make 2 lbs and freeze half for another dinner!
